Quotes & Ordering

Generally, the ordering process begins with a customer's request for quote (RFQ). For common items, that is, for items that reference a DIN, IFI, or JIS standard, JC Grand can turn around a quote within 24 hours. For custom/OEM items, the process can take a couple days, since we have to estimate any tooling charges, unit weights, production rates, etc..

Since the number of fastener designs is enormous, customers can help expedite the quoting process by including:

  • Detailed descriptions, and references to standards (if possible)
  • Sizes and lengths
  • Any special mechanical property requirements
  • Coating requirements, and references to standards
  • QC requirements or description of the application
  • Drawings and/or samples for custom parts
  • Maximum defect rate (PPM level)

If the quote is acceptable, the customer can send a formal order request by e-mail or fax. JC Grand will then generate a signed pro-forma invoice to confirm our understanding of the product requirements and unit prices, together with any other conditions of the order. The customer is requested to sign and return a copy of the pro-forma invoice

Depending on the payment terms negotiated between the customer and JC Grand, a signed pro-forma invoice is all we need to get started producing your parts.
